People might have questions about how Goodnovel processes the payment and how people receive them, below are the frequently asked questions we’ve collected so far:
#Payment Method
We can pay you by bank transfer, Paypal, and Payoneer. Payoneer is most recommended because you will receive payment soon after we send it out. For bank account payment, it may take some time before you can get it.
Please fill in the payment information carefully, should the payment information be filled incorrectly, you will bear the risk of payment failure. If the payment fails, it will automatically be passed on to the following month; if it’s successful but made to a wrong address due to false info, the payment will not be remade.
It is recommended that you choose the appropriate payment method, and the transfer fee will be borne by you.
*****If you find that the amount you received is less than the amount you should get, this is probably because the transfer fee is deducted. GoodNovel doesn’t take any fee from your transaction.*****
#Account Info
You can fill in your payment info yourself. Access your user center, click on the “payment info” button to fill in your payment info.
You can check your earnings on your personal page via PC by clicking on the “detail” button, or checking the “Income” in Author Center on the App.

1. Editors are NOT able to help you change account info. You can modify your account info yourself.
2. Though you can modify your account info whenever you want, the amendment will take effect immediately if you modified your account info from 1st to 9th of every month. But on the other days, the amendment will take effect on the 1st of the next month.
3. Check your payment amount around 5th of each month. If you notice anything wrong, please contact your editor before 10th of each month, because it may be too late to make any changes to this month’s payment after that day.
#Payment Process
The income of the previous month will be settled on the first day of each month. And you will be paid from the 10th of each month. It usually takes about a week for the payment to proceed.
Unfortunately, you can’t withdraw the money whenever you want. You will receive it monthly, or the month after you have over $100 income. If the total of your income is less than 100 USD, the income will be accumulated and carried on to next month until you have $100 in total.
#Late Payment
We will start the payment process in a week after the 10th of each month. But it may take some time to proceed for international transactions, especially for bank transfers. Please wait for a few days after 10th. But sometimes it may get delayed for another few days because of holidays. Thanks for your understanding.
If you haven’t received your payment 2 weeks after the 10th, please contact your editor, and he/she can check the payment status for you!

For all the contracts signed before Apr 1st, 2021, your benefits will follow the old rules till you complete the book and stops receiving the monthly bonus.
For all the contracts signed after Apr 1st, 2021, your benefits will follow the new rules!

#I heard that Payoneer transactions only take a $2 fee per transaction. Is it true and how do I set it up?
Yes, it’s true. Payoneer has less transfer fee and that’s also the reason why we recommend Payoneer instead of a bank account.
However, if you want the $2 fee policy to go into effect, your account needs to add GoodNovel’s account to your payer’s list.
Also, please make sure your payoneer account is verified. Usually it needs your ID photo and some other information. Once the account is successfully linked and verified, the new transaction policy of $2 per transaction will come into effect!
#Can I get a Monthly Attendance Bonus (MAB) from the 1st month I sign?
Yes. But please notice, that the 50k words’ requirement in MAB doesn’t include the 30k words that are already counted in the signing bonus, and you can only get MAB after the signing bonus is already added to your account.
For example, let’s say you sign the contract on Apr. 30th when you have 10k words in your book. Then in May, you upload 50k words and meet the updating days requirement. In this case, you can only get a signing bonus, not a MAB. Because the signing bonus will be added to your account when you upload 20k words in May, and then you only have 30k words left in May.
But if you already have 30k words in Apr, and then you update 50k words and for 25 days in May, you will be getting the signing bonus in Apr, and the MAB in May.
#If I sign multiple exclusive books with GN, how much can I get each month?
No matter how many books you have, we only count one book(s) that month for MAB. For example, if you have 2 books ongoing at the same time, and any 1 of them has 50k words and 25 days this month, you will get the MAB. It’s automatic, so as long as you have one exclusive book this month meeting the requirement, you’ll get the MAB, no matter which book that is.
The word count or the updating days can’t be accumulated. For example, if you have 2 books and each book has 25k words and 15 days of updating, you still can’t get the MAB.
#If my book is completed but I forget to tell my editor it’s completed, can I still receive the completion bonus?
You need to contact your editor and ask your editor to mark your book as “completed” in order to receive the completion bonus.
#Will I still receive the profit share besides the exclusive writer’s benefit?
Yes. Unless you have discussed with your editor and reached a special agreement.
#If I have 2 exclusive books under the new plan at the same time, can I receive 2 MABs every month?
You can receive a signing bonus and a completion bonus for each exclusive book respectively. But in a single calendar month, you can only receive 1 MAB.
